Production Supervisor

FCM Recycling  is a national company providing electronics recycling services in Canada (Québec, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario). The Production supervisor will reports directly to the Plant Manager and will be located in British Columbia. The roles and responsibilities of the Production supervisor will include:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet daily goals related to production;
• Supervision of employees approx.(30);
• Train all new employees;
• Capable to execute all tasks in the plant to be able to replace employees if needed and also ensure the productivity;
• Ensure the quality, quantity, timely and cost effective production of employees;
• Improve and ensure a smooth running operation;
• Be actively involved in problem solving;
• Promote employee engagement and continuous improvement;
• Prepare and submit various reports;
• To complete other duties as assigned.

The incumbent will have to meet the following experience/skill requirements:

• At least five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing;
• Planning and organizing skills, autonomy and strong leadership abilities;
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and strong time management skills; • Initiative, reliability and team spirit;
• Communicate effectively with co-workers;
• Must have knowledge of disciplinary action and labor relations;
• Health and safety knowledge;
• Verbal and written communication skills; Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negatives situations;
• Capability to work under-pressure / multi-task;
• Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Outlook and in all programs necessary to run.
